Rough steel from the outside, inside you will enjoy all the luxury you want.
Staying at this houseboat may best be described as a lesson in taking a break from everything that is on your mind.
Step aboard and forget your day-to-day humdrum while enjoying everything that this great place has to offer. Not in the least because of the unique location: next to city the center just off the beaten path but with lots of great restaurants, museums and bars around the corner - or even closer.
You're invited to stay at this unique floating bed and breakfast, hosted in a great way by Sietske. Feel free to have (self served) breakfast in the great sunny garden and enjoy the terrace where you can have a smoke and a drink. Uber cool is probably the best way to describe the atmosphere that has been established here by both the host and the many great people who have stayed here.
Two cabins, one big deluxe cabin and one smaller cabin.
Both have private entrances, comfortable big double bed's, and en suite bathroom with shower, towels, sheets, floor heating and kitchenettes.
Coming with two guests you will stay automatically in the deluxe cabin, coming with three or four guests you will also have use of the smaller cabin. All together you have a lot of space and all the privacy you want.
The Tante Piet is brand new, stylish and very comfy.
Your booking includes bed linen, towels, coffee and tea making facilities, Wi-Fi and a city map.
On your arrival Sietske will draw on a map lots of tips and nice places for you to go to. You special wishes? Do let her know, she will fill you in on the secrets of Amsterdam.
The garden is a great plus, and a fantastic place to enjoy your breakfast. And not to forget to have a drink or - yes, it's this kind of neighborhood - make a campfire. Not a bad place to end a great day in the buzzing city centre. And here is a secret joke: greet all the people passing by as if you have lived here for years. You will never have felt more at home abroad before.
Over all we promise a one of a kind houseboat experience - warmly welcome you aboard!
The street where this floating home is located is green and has a very village like atmosphere. The people living in this houseboat community really know and help each other whenever needed. The typical thing about this area is that is actually quite close to city centre, yet you won't find masses of tourists passing by. It is quite a well kept secret so to speak.
While public transport is just two minutes walking away, you will find many great attractions within walking distance. Such as the great bar/restaurant Hannekes Boom, Science Museum Nemo, the red light district and the library with it's great views and food on the top floor.
In the living room is a nice family table with side bench and chairs together with cozy lights.
The kitchen is like a kitchentte, with a sink, a one induction burn pit, water cooker, toaster and further all necessary kitchen tools you need. It includes coffee, tea, sugar and milk.
Boiling an egg or making pancakes for breakfast is no problem and highly recommended.
There are in total 4 sleeps. In the big cabin there is a queen size bed, with very comfy mattrasses. Not extreem hard but also not soft. With comfy duvets.
In the smaller cabin there are two single beds but they can be place next to another to make a double cozy bed.
In each cabin is a bathroom en suite. With toiltet, shower, sink and floorheating. The bathrooms are very modern stylish. In the biggest cabin even with ship portals. Which makes the special atmosphere.
Towels, shower gel and shampoo as well as a hairdryer are provided and included.
If you come by car there is a Park and Ride very close by, 7 minutes by tram. The name is 'P&R Zeeburg'. Please contact me for further details.
